HEALTH HAZARD DATA

KNOWN HAZARDS: Can cause eye irritation. Prolonged and repeated overexposure to the skin can cause irritation and dermatitis.

CARCINOGENICITY: No ingredients are classified by IARC, NTP, or OSHA as known or potential carcinogens.

PRIMARY ROUTES OF EXPOSURE: Dermal. Inhalation.

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF EXPOSURE: None expected. Exposure to oil mists can cause respiratory irritation. Chronic exposure to the skin can cause dermatitis.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS AGGRAVATED BY EXPOSURE: Eye, skin, and respiratory conditions.

EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES

EYES: Flush with plenty of water. Get medical attention if symptoms persist.

SKIN: Wash with soap and water. Contaminated clothing should be laundered before reuse.

INHALATION: Not considered a route of exposure. Product has a very low vapor pressure.

INGESTION: Do not induce vomiting unless directed to by a physician. Get medical attention. (Note to Physician: Material, if aspirated into the lungs, can cause chemical pneumonitis).

OTHER: Referral to a physician is recommended if there is any question about the seriousness of the injury/exposure.

CONTROL MEASURES AND PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

VENTILATION: General (i.e. natural or mechanically induced fresh air movements that maintain vapor concentrations below recommended exposure limits).

EYE PROTECTION: Safety glasses are recommended for most industrial settings.

SKIN PROTECTION: Not required. Gloves recommended (cotton gloves are adequate).

RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: Dust/mist respirator (e.g. 3M8710) should be used when exposure to mists is likely.

PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING AND USE

HANDLING AND STORING PRECAUTIONS: Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with skin. Avoid breathing mists or vapor. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after contact. Remove contaminated clothing.

SPILL PROCEDURES: Absorb with sand or inert material. Sweep or scoop up and remove. Prevent spread of spill into sewers and watercourses.
